Professor Anna Tarrant

Dr Anna Tarrant is a Professor in Sociology at the University of Lincoln and is a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow. She is also the co-editor of Sociological Research Online. She is recognised for her expertise in young parenthood; fatherhood; family life; the life course; and methods of qualitative secondary analysis and is a leader in methods of co-creation. Her current funded study, ‘Following Young Fathers Further’, is a qualitative longitudinal, participatory study of the lives and support needs of young fathers. She has recently published Qualitative Secondary Analysis, co-authored with Dr Kahryn Hughes and a sole-authored monograph called Fathering and Poverty, published by Policy Press in August 2021.
