Maria Mansfield

Maria is completing a PhD which focusses on how free school meal families are affected by structural stigma and unequal power relations, with a specific focus on how these forces impact the ability of families to be active agents in their own lives.  The work is situated amongst austerity and welfare cuts, and viewed through the lens of Covid-19 restrictions and the food voucher scheme which operated during school closures.
